Non Disc - High TG Surface: Rim Brake 700C road rims use an advanced High TG resin system with a layer of graphene to help dissipate heat. The braking power and reliability is significantly improved over a basalt braking surface.

Non Disc - Grooved Graphene Surface: Our new resin system and construction method, combined with the 3k rim track, withstands over 280°C, dissipates heat, and lowers rim temperatures faster in between braking efforts. Gain confidence-inspiring brake performance on the steepest descents and wettest conditions with our matching brake pads. Also, graphene added to the rim brake track allows for greater resistance to overheating with improved heat dissipation and reduced temperature accumulation during heavy braking. The grooved track helps evacuate trapped moisture between pad and rim in wet conditions, and brings more resistance and force at the lever when conditions are dry.

Full Custom: This option (if provided here to choose) offers custom braking track in other various weaves (UD/12K/3K twill etc) with 1-2 weeks LONGER on manufacture and extra $10USD/rim only as a start (with High TG Surface by default). If you select this option and LEAVE YOUR TAILORED REQUIREMENT IN THE NOTES AT CHECKOUT, we will reach out to you once the order is placed.

Disc: The disc version does not have a rim brake track and features a unique disc specific layup process. Our new layup is about 10g ~30g lighter by reducing the unnecessary material and utilizing elements of our Flyweight construction method.

Center Channel Hole This is a required option.

With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.

No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.

Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

Opening for Hidden Valve This is a required option.

With the valve stem covered inside the rim chamber, the aero performance of the wheel is boosted. Also, this innovative design gives your wheel a neat look. PLEASE BE WELL NOTED THAT THIS HIDDEN VALVE DESIGN IS COMPATIBLE WITH VALVES OF 35MM LENGTH OR SHORTER.

One tubeless valve stem (35mm) is equipped by default if you choose this design. The valve stem is free of charge. We'll install the stem for you before shipping.

We also equip each wheel (hidden valve design) with one valve cutout cover (sticker) and one valve adapter.

Road rims use super light waterslide decals (matte colors). The decal is very thin and applied under a clearcoat so they are non-removeable.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

Hi Sir, - It is okay to order 88mm deep clincher rim 700C at just one single rim. - Yes, it is okay to build powertab hub on our carbon fiber bike rims. - Yes, it is okay to sell you spokes and nipples. Hi, I'm looking to purchase R88 in 20 holes and R65 with 18 holes both drilled for internal nipples. How would I go about specifying internal nipple holes when I order? Thank you! Lance

Hi Lance, The internal nipple option is currently not available online, you can order the rims you want and leave the request to the message aera in the checkout/cart page. Then we can double check with and will manufacture these road bike rims with internal nipple holes. Or you can send us the road rims 700C rim order specs here and your delivery address here, we can work on invoice accordingly for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle
