DT Swiss hubs use star ratchets and are available in 4 different models with varying points of engagement.

18T - Deepest teeth, slowest engagement, least amount of maintenance, suitable for powerful riders.

36T - Happy medium, doubles the engagement points.

54T - Super fast engagement, but shallow teeth require more careful re-greasing and the thru-axle should be checked every ride.

24T - Made out of hardened steel as e-bike specific.

EXP 36 - With only a single spring, making the hubs faster and lighter. More precise contact makes a longer lifespan.

Sapim Race – Our strongest and stiffest spoke. These spokes are suitable for heavy or extremely aggressive riders who need a stiffer wheel.
Sapim CX-Ray – The lightest spoke in our lineup is still quite strong due to the elasticity and amazing fatigue life.
DT Competition Race - All Mountain and XC spoke used by the Chinese location as a substitue for the D-Light (depending on availability)
Pillar PSR X-TRA 1420 - An inexpensive bladed spoke, great for road and cyclocross riding.
Pillar Wing 20 - Pillar patented highest level of aerodynamic bladed spoke reducing potential weak spots and twisting during tensioning. Currently, they are offered in oil slick color only with increased wear and corrosion resistance.
Sapim CX Sprint-Rear drive side/ CX Ray-Other sides - This customized combo increases the rear drive side power transmition efficiency significantly while grabs superior light-weight and aero performance.
Oil slick J-bend - They are made by a qualified manufacturer in Taiwan with custom design by Light Bicycle. They are J-bend only so do not order these spokes for SP hubs you configured in the previous step.

Our Recon Pro and Falcon Pro rims feature BlackTek and come out of molds as a completed product, with a scratch resistant and near flawless finish, eliminating the need for coating or painting. We name this kind of superior finish the paintless.

Crystal Painting: A fantastic painting effect designed by Light Bicycle.

Full Custom: This option offers custom finish such as Satin/Raw etc at no extra charge but subject to rim models with 3~5 days LONGER on manufacture. The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

Center Channel Hole This is a required option.

With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.

No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.

Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

1. Grey Laser Engraving (Falcon Pro) - Our laser engraving technology is eco-friendly and adds a snappy, polished aesthetic to your new rims.
Please note: Contrary to rims with any coated/painted finishes (matte, glossy and satin) as well as Crystal Painting, laser engraving could work with paintless rims only.

2. Full Custom - Add some additional personalization and go full custom with your rim graphics! Laser engraving is available in one colour (light grey) and starts at $5 USD per rim. If you select this option, LEAVE YOUR REQUEST IN QUOTES IN THE NOTES AT CHECKOUT. For example: "I need my personalized logo printed" or "Just text 'ABC racing' ". We will reach out to you once the order is placed to finalize the details of custom graphics.

Wheel Bag This is a required option.

Our all-new single wheel bag provides reliable storage for your wheel. Plus, an internal pocket is designed to store skewers and other tools. The wheel bag safely and comfortably accommodates most road and mountain bike wheels, including 700C, 26", 27.5", and 29" wheels. The wheel bag is with Light Bicycle logo by default. If you hope to get one without logo, please leave a note at checkout.

For a wheelset product, when selecting "Add Wheel Bag", you'll get two wheel bags; while for a single front/rear wheel product, you'll get one wheel bag.

Valve Stem This is a required option.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

Hi Max, Thanks for reaching out! The recommended max tire pressure for the hybrid hook is 70psi. The hybrid hook is better at keeping the tires on the rim. You can use a tubeless tire on the rim. 28c tires are well within the tire recommended usage range. The AR25 road disc has become the most popular rim since its release. Even though this is the lightest wheelset I've owned, I can attest to their toughness for gravel use. I purchased Falcon Pro rims built with DT Swiss 240 hubs, Sapim CX Rays spokes, traditional spoke pattern, with drain holes and they weighed in at 1030g. Very close to claim weight of 1022g. Over the last three months I've ridden these wheels on Colorado gravel roads, with washboard and loose rock, and even on some singletrack worthy of a mountain bike. I also raced these wheels in August at Gravel Worlds Long Voyage - 300 in Lincoln, NE for 23 straight hours with no mechanical issues. Although, I don't run high pressure in my gravel bike tires, I was attracted to these rims because of the hybrid hook. This relieves any stress about my tire unseating from the rim on a rough course. The wait time to receive wheels from Light Bicycle is longer than usual but, I appreciate the quality and will definitely buy from them again. Thanks

Is the carbon weave on this wheelset more for stiffness or compliance? Hi, I like your AR 25 wheelset and the weight is pretty impressive. I have a few questions about the rim: How durable is it despite its weight? I ride 30-70% paved-unpaved roads, and sometimes the unpaved road is rocky, single-track-like. Should I worry about the rim being damaged from a bump or a stone throw? Is the wheelset hand built? Hi Marci, Thanks for reaching out! 1. AR25 700C disc was designed for gravel riding. So it would be a perfect fit for you. We are manage to reduce the weight by cutting unnecessary weight, upgrade materials and well-designed layup. The fact is that we have a XC version with the same design, but different layup to fit the XC trails' condition. We can make the rear rim stronger if you are worry. But it should add some weight because of the extra materials. 2. All of our rims are 100% handmade and wheels are 100% hand build. 3. The AR25 rims are one of our pro rims, so it come with a default 5-year warranty. As for the spokes, most of our road wheels are built with Sapim CX-Ray spokes. They are really reliable. It might break during crash accident. 3. We are actually very strict with our spoke tension. And we will pack with a wheel building specs in the box for you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello, Do you have any future plans of possibly creating a road version of this wheelset, maybe with a hooked rim and 21-23mm internal? I can see this design as being very good on days with a lot of climbing even if the wheelset weight went up to 1100g.

Hi Aaron, We do have 21-23mm internal road rims 700C with hooked design available. The AR35, AR45, AR375, AR465, WR38, WR50, WR65. Currently, we don't have any plan to make a 25mm deep road rim. The hybrid hook design of AR25 was meant for gravel use tire pressure. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hello, I am interested in the Falcon Pro Wheeleset AR25 Disc with Novatec Hubs. I would need the front to be a 12mm Thru-Axle and the rear to be 135mm Standard QR, would this be possible? What would be the price? Thank you.
