Paintless: The "Finish" relates to how the rim is coated or painted such as matte or glossy for the most common applications. Our Recon Pro and Falcon Pro rims feature BlackTek and come out of molds as a completed product, with a scratch resistant and near flawless finish, eliminating the need for coating or painting. We name this kind of superior finish the paintless.

Crystal Painting: A fantastic painting effect designed by Light Bicycle.

Full Custom: This option offers custom finish such as Satin/Raw etc at no extra charge but subject to rim models with 3~5 days LONGER on manufacture. And custom color painting is also available with added 15g/rim and extra $20USD/rim as a start. If you select this option and LEAVE YOUR REQUIREMENT IN QUOTES IN THE NOTES AT CHECKOUT, we will reach out to you once the order is placed to finalize the details.

The layup schedule is predetermined for each model, but you can choose the outer layer for cosmetic appearence.

The rim strength & weight is virtually identical.

Matte UD is the most popular and has a subtle look.

The futuristic Hexa-Comb and Braided UD are smooth and looks great on deep rims.

Full Custom: This option (if provided here to choose) offers custom weaves such as 3k twill vertical/ horizontal/ Braided UD etc with extra charge of $15USD/rim as a start but subject to rim models with 3~5 days LONGER on manufacture. Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

1. Grey Laser Engraving (Recon Pro) - Our laser engraving technology is eco-friendly and adds a snappy, polished aesthetic to your new rims.
Please note: Contrary to rims with any coated/painted finishes (matte, glossy and satin) as well as Crystal Painting, laser engraving could work with paintless rims only.

2. Full Custom - Add some additional personalization and go full custom with your rim graphics! Laser engraving is available in one colour (light grey) and starts at $5 USD per rim. If you select this option, LEAVE YOUR REQUEST IN QUOTES IN THE NOTES AT CHECKOUT. For example: "I need my personalized logo printed" or "Just text 'ABC racing' ". We will reach out to you once the order is placed to finalize the details of custom graphics.

Valve Stem This is a required option.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

Apply Tubeless Tape: In Light Bicycle, a proprietary taping aid works with our wheel builders to guarantee that a solid taping craft at industrial-level is well implemented in order for you to ride carefree tubeless at any conditions.

You do NOT have to use any tubeless tape to run tubeless if you have chosen "No Access Holes" on the rim center channel.

Strong, yet lightweight. Get the best of both worlds. The EH935S features a refined layup with reinforcement in spoke holes and sidewall to handle the added torque generated by e-bikes. The sturdy construction can endure an impact energy level of 155J. Weighs only 500g a piece.

The EH935S is designed with durability in mind. The S-Flow profile allows an innovation of Dual-ERD - with holes located at the peak and valley points of the wave-shaped rim, you'll get more even spoke tensions between two sides. Built to ride further and longer.

The EH935S features a generous 35mm inner width for tire widths ranging from 2.5'' to 3.1'', allowing modern e-MTB and DH riders to run wide-track tires for excellent traction and stability. With hybrid hooks, you can expect both straightforward tire installation and secure tire seating, which greatly reduces the chances of tire burping or blowoff during aggressive riding sessions.
