Hubs We Build With - Road & MTB

Here is a list of hubs we stock and some more details to help you choose the best fit for your bike and riding style.

For ROAD hubs (Novatec A291SL/F482SL, Powerway R36, DT Swiss 350 and 240s), they are for Shimano 11s and will come with a spacer for Shimano 8/9/10 speed. Novatec A291/F582 are for Campagnolo 10/11 speed. Bitex RAF10/RAR9 Shimano freehubs are ok for 10/11s, and Campagnolo freehubs are also ok for 10/11s. The quick release is NOT included with DT hubs and Bitex hubs , but customers can order light Ti-quick release skewers separately from us.

For MTB hubs, we carry Novatec D771/ D772, Novatec D881/ D882, Pro 4 EVO 44T, DT Swiss 350, DT Swiss 240S, Chris King ISO and Project 321 (lefty only). They are all okay for Shimano MTB 10/11s, Shimano road 11s or SRAM XX1/XD. We have QR, 142x12, 148x12 (boost), 100x15, 110x15 (boost), and 110x20 in stock, other end caps are available aftermarket. The bike hub axle size for both front axle and rear axle hub are all listed as below, including weight of each hub.

Novatec - The least expensive and somewhat heavy option, but decent value to get you into a carbon wheelset without breaking the bank.

Bitex - Inexpensive hub with reliable bearings made in Taiwan, the road hubs are especially lightweight.

DT 350 - Reasonable price and solid performance. Not as much machining or as good of bearings as DT's 240s but they are quite reliable.

Hope Pro 4 - Our most popular option, reasonable weight and price, easy to work on and high availability of replacement parts, lots of colour choices.

DT 240 - Precision built hub with an incredibly strong yet super lightweight and easy to service design. Fast rolling high quality bearings.

Chris King - Patented ring drive system with 72 points of engagement, a plethora of colours and the best bearings in the industry. One of the most expensive but most reliable and highest quality hubs made.

Project 321 - Front hubs in Lefty and Lefty Supermax only. No expense spared front hubs for Cannondale Lefty hubs.

If the hub you like are not in the list, you can ship the hubs to our office. We can build the wheelset for you.

Hi, I noticed limited options in 26"now. I am riding 26" all mountain and weight about 200lb with gear on looking for a set with 30mm ish internal width. Build would be with cheapest option Novatech hubs 20mm front 135qr rear, brass nipples, shimano cassette compatible and the tubeless rim strips/valves included.

Hi, I would like to enquiry possibility of building a pair of road clinchers with on DT240s straight pull spokes. Front 38 wide and rear 50 wide. Both to be 3k gloss. Shimano compatible hub. Hi Melvin, There are 2 kinds of road rims here currently. One is V shape with 23mm outer width(old design) and the second one is U shape with 25mm outer width(new design). The U shape rim will be more durable and stronger than the V shape rim. 38mm depth and 50mm depth rims are V shape. I recommend you 35mm and 55mm depth U shape clincher rims. Is it OK for you? Please find the attached cross-section drawing of the rim. RRU35C02: $163/pcs, 435 /-15g RRU55C02: $178/pcs, 515 /-15g For the DT swiss 240s non-disc hubs, they are all J-bend. Is it OK for you? Hi, I would like to purchase a set of XC carbon MTB wheels for my wifes Specialized Epic MTB bike. The front forks on this bike (Rock Shock Reba) use a 9mm thru quick release. The hub faces are 100mm, however the quick release is threaded and slides thru the hubs 9mm hole. Does Hope have end caps for this 9mm quick release? Thank you for your help.

Hello Tom, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, we have Hope Fatsno hubs 190mm QR rear. Do you like front 135mm QR or 15*135mm thru axle? Regarding the FatBoy, it is with 80mm or 90mm width rims. We have new 50mm wide 29er plus rim. Would you like to have a try? It is much wider and comfortable. The 38mm width is narrower and only can work with 2.125’’ -2.75’’ tires. Please find attached rims profile. We have black Pillar x-tra 1420 aero or DT competition spokes. DT competition spokes are much heavier, but stronger. Do you prefer alloy or brass nipples? Can you tell me what the difference is in weight between the DH and AM options for your 27.5 / 38mm rims? I actually ride AM but I am a heavier rider (195 lbs). Do you recommend DH in my case?
