Sapim Race – Our strongest and stiffest spoke. These spokes are suitable for heavy or extremely aggressive riders who need a stiffer wheel.
Sapim CX-Ray – The lightest spoke in our lineup is still quite strong due to the elasticity and amazing fatigue life.
DT Competition Race - All Mountain and XC spoke used by the Chinese location as a substitue for the D-Light (depending on availability)
Pillar PSR X-TRA 1420 - An inexpensive bladed spoke, great for road and cyclocross riding.
Pillar Wing 20 - Pillar patented highest level of aerodynamic bladed spoke reducing potential weak spots and twisting during tensioning. Currently, they are offered in oil slick color only with increased wear and corrosion resistance.
Sapim CX Sprint-Rear drive side/ CX Ray-Other sides - This customized combo increases the rear drive side power transmition efficiency significantly while grabs superior light-weight and aero performance.
Oil slick J-bend - They are made by a qualified manufacturer in Taiwan with custom design by Light Bicycle. They are J-bend only so do not order these spokes for SP hubs you configured in the previous step.

Non Disc - High TG Surface: Rim Brake 700C road rims use an advanced High TG resin system with a layer of graphene to help dissipate heat. The braking power and reliability is significantly improved over a basalt braking surface.

Non Disc - Grooved Graphene Surface: Our new resin system and construction method, combined with the 3k rim track, withstands over 280°C, dissipates heat, and lowers rim temperatures faster in between braking efforts. Gain confidence-inspiring brake performance on the steepest descents and wettest conditions with our matching brake pads. Also, graphene added to the rim brake track allows for greater resistance to overheating with improved heat dissipation and reduced temperature accumulation during heavy braking. The grooved track helps evacuate trapped moisture between pad and rim in wet conditions, and brings more resistance and force at the lever when conditions are dry.

Full Custom: This option (if provided here to choose) offers custom braking track in other various weaves (UD/12K/3K twill etc) with 1-2 weeks LONGER on manufacture and extra $10USD/rim only as a start (with High TG Surface by default). Disc: The disc version does not have a rim brake track and features a unique disc specific layup process. Our new layup is about 10g ~30g lighter by reducing the unnecessary material and utilizing elements of our Flyweight construction method.

Center Channel Hole This is a required option.

With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.

No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.

Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

Opening for Hidden Valve This is a required option.

With the valve stem covered inside the rim chamber, the aero performance of the wheel is boosted. Also, this innovative design gives your wheel a neat look. PLEASE BE WELL NOTED THAT THIS HIDDEN VALVE DESIGN IS COMPATIBLE WITH VALVES OF 35MM LENGTH OR SHORTER.

One tubeless valve stem (35mm) is equipped by default if you choose this design. The valve stem is free of charge. We'll install the stem for you before shipping.

We also equip each wheel (hidden valve design) with one valve cutout cover (sticker) and one valve adapter.

Road rims use super light waterslide decals (matte colors). The decal is very thin and applied under a clearcoat so they are non-removeable.

Our all-new single wheel bag provides reliable storage for your wheel. Plus, an internal pocket is designed to store skewers and other tools. The wheel bag safely and comfortably accommodates most road and mountain bike wheels, including 700C, 26", 27.5", and 29" wheels. The wheel bag is with Light Bicycle logo by default. If you hope to get one without logo, please leave a note at checkout.

Valve Stem This is a required option.

We use a lightweight black alloy anodized valves with an oversized concave collar for easy gripping. A rubber o-ring goes in between the rim and the collar to help seal the rim and match the contour of the rim profile. The valve core is removable so you can add sealant without removing your tire.

Hi Devin, We only have the front wheel 700C of R88 online. Are you looking for a single rear wheel or a pair? XDR driver body would be compatible for your 11s cassette. DT SWISS 240 EXP would be a good option with XDR freehub. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Hi Calum, We normally apply CFD analysis during the design period to prove the design itself. A creditable and unbiased wind tunnel test is relatively rare. And given that real-life riding is very different from the wind tunnel. You would be affected by lots of environmental factors compared to the lab condition. Unfortunately, we don't have the comparison data you want. A trustworthy comparison would be from a neutral credit party outside of the shareholder group. This would be the reason why well-regarded brands only offer their own test results. And we don't think it's fair or just to compare our product against other brands. If you have any suggestions for the 3rd-party wind tunnel lab, we would be happy to reach out and see what's possible. Thanks, Lightbicycle
