Non Disc - High TG Surface: Rim Brake 700C road rims use an advanced High TG resin system with a layer of graphene to help dissipate heat. The braking power and reliability is significantly improved over a basalt braking surface.

Non Disc - Grooved Graphene Surface: Our new resin system and construction method, combined with the 3k rim track, withstands over 280°C, dissipates heat, and lowers rim temperatures faster in between braking efforts. Gain confidence-inspiring brake performance on the steepest descents and wettest conditions with our matching brake pads. Also, graphene added to the rim brake track allows for greater resistance to overheating with improved heat dissipation and reduced temperature accumulation during heavy braking. The grooved track helps evacuate trapped moisture between pad and rim in wet conditions, and brings more resistance and force at the lever when conditions are dry.

Full Custom: This option (if provided here to choose) offers custom braking track in other various weaves (UD/12K/3K twill etc) with 1-2 weeks LONGER on manufacture and extra $10USD/rim only as a start (with High TG Surface by default). If you select this option and LEAVE YOUR TAILORED REQUIREMENT IN THE NOTES AT CHECKOUT, we will reach out to you once the order is placed.

Disc: The disc version does not have a rim brake track and features a unique disc specific layup process. Our new layup is about 10g ~30g lighter by reducing the unnecessary material and utilizing elements of our Flyweight construction method.

Center Channel Hole This is a required option.

With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.

No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.

Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

Road rims use super light waterslide decals (matte colors). The decal is very thin and applied under a clearcoat so they are non-removeable.

Hi I am considering ordering the ‘disc brake’ version of this rim (35mm tubular). Is it possible to use some more layers of carbon fibre to make the tyre-bed more impact resistant (for cyclocross use)? Do you use standard or ‘high tg’ resin for the disc brake version of this rim? Also, can you post the rims to Australia, and how long would it take for them to arrive? Thanks

Hi Stephen, We can make a heavy duty version for RRU35T02, adding 50g material for one rim. For our U-shape rims with brake surface, we use High TG resin for the brake surface. Base on our lab experiment data, it can take over 240-degree heat. If you order disc rims, the resin will not be high TG resin. Of course, we can ship to Australia. The heavy-duty version rim is a special order, so it would take 12 days when you place the order. Another 3~5 days to delivery to you. Thanks, Lightbicycle

We don’t have the convert kit for 12*135mm TA here, and the front 12*100mm will be available around 2 months later. Is it too long for you to wait it?
